We recently had the absolute pleasure of doing the hair for Fon fave, Em Rusciano as well as Jamila Rizvi for the Westfield Women In Conversation event, here in Adelaide.
It was an intimate morning with likeminded women who came together to listen to the empowering Em Rusciano, supported by fellow female powerhouse Jamila Rizvi.
Em spoke about her incredible career, motherhood and what it means to be a mother in this day and age.
It was a morning of meaningful connections, delicious treats, and a little something for everyone to take away – plus plenty of belly laughs.
About the hair…
Alex used her new GHD soft curler on Em’s short style and gave her a 70’s bang with lots of shaggy rocker chick texture.
She used the Davines hair refresher spray (yes this can save you from your red-eye flight hair!) and finished with the Davines no gas spray for all the hold without the ‘crunch’.
For Jamila, Alex worked gently with the hair Jamila had left after having radiation treatment. For this incredibly inspiring lady, Alex used Jamila’s natural texture to create a loose up-style, with a pushed back quiff off her face and slightly sleek sides.
Alex used two products for this style – the Davines medium hold spray for all those flyaways and the Davines shimmering mist for shine.
